“When I was 14 years old I hitch hiked down to Watkins Glen to see what was going on. I found out it was the US Grand Prix Formula One Race! Ever since then, I’ve been addicted to cars and motorsports. Fast forward to 1976, and I was on the outside pole for the Super Vee support race at the Glen F1 Race! From that point, I was hooked for life”.
Lou Gigliotti is a 3 time National Champion World Challenge driver, winning 25 races and 25 poles. Some of Lou’s notable wins include the Dallas GP World challenge, the Trans Am at Long Beach GP , the Lime Rock GP Plus Grand Am – Daytona Paul Revere 250 in class and other historic race events. In present days, Lou has acquired over 160 acres in North Collin County just a short distance from North Dallas area, sitting just 22 miles NE from the new Toyota HQ Complex where he plans to build his new luxury road course, G2 Motorsports Park.
For the design of G2 Motorsports Park, Lou contracted with Herman Tilke of F1 fame – then finally with Bob Barnard, world renowned race track designer to finalize the design and we are moving forward. “I’m not a fan of “Gravel Traps” so there will be none!” Says Lou. Instead, the road course will have F1 style run off areas with soft barriers far enough away to keep the cars from unnecessary damage while being as safe as any track in America.
